However the causes may result to a combination of genetics and other enviroment triggers. Rheumatoid arthritis has a genetic link, which allows the disease to easily run within families.
Therefore, people with specific human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes, have a greater chance of developing rheumatoid arthritis, than people who do not have the HLA genes.
